Hello, I’m Jennifer
a photographer who sees the world as both a source of wonder and a mirror of emotion. My journey with photography isn’t just about capturing beautiful images; it’s about finding meaning, expression, and connection in moments both ordinary and extraordinary.
For more than 30 years, I’ve lived with an invisible illness that has shaped how I move through the world. Pain and fatigue often create limitations, but photography has become my way of navigating them — a form of therapy, a voice when words fall short, and a reminder that beauty can coexist with struggle. Behind the lens, I find silence when the noise of illness is loud, and I rediscover joy in noticing details that others might pass by.
My projects often emerge from this space: some are deeply personal, exploring resilience, fragility, and emotional landscapes. Photographing Through Pain is one such project, a visual essay on how creativity and survival intersect. Other projects are lighter and more experimental, like Flower Art, where I submerge blooms in water with ink and textures to transform them into dreamlike, painterly forms.
I don’t work within a single genre. Instead, my photography unfolds as a series of explorations — each project carrying its own mood, story, and purpose. From abstract forms to delicate natural details, my aim is always the same: to invite viewers to pause, feel, and reflect.
When I share a project, it isn’t just a gallery of images. It’s a journey — often paired with writing, sometimes shaped into an eBook — that encourages deeper engagement and conversation. My hope is that, in these projects, you’ll find not only pieces of my story but reflections of your own experiences too.
Thank you for being here. I’d love for you to join me on this journey — through my monthly projects, essays, and occasional resources — as I continue to explore both the seen and the unseen, the playful and the profound.
